Housing type in Monteclaro

Chalets built for sport and outdoor living

Monteclaro is a private development known for its ties to the area's sporting and social life, with mid-to-large chalets and gardens designed for outdoor use for much of the year. Families here place particular value on the comfort of outdoor areas as much as the interior of the home, which shapes how we approach the climate control and electrical installation of the pool, garden and garage. We always aim for a balance of power, quiet operation and aesthetics.

Climate control

Comfort inside and outside the house

In Monteclaro's chalets, an air-source heat pump with underfloor heating and cooling gives stable indoor comfort year-round, with much more efficient consumption than traditional systems, particularly in homes used intensively in summer.

We take care with the placement of the outdoor unit so it doesn't interfere with the garden, terrace or pool areas where the family spends much of its free time.

Electrical

Electrics for a home with an outdoor lifestyle

In Monteclaro's garages, more and more homes are adding an EV charging point to ITC-BT-52 standards, and many pools and outdoor areas require a review of contracted power with the corresponding electrical certificate.

We add outdoor LED lighting and home automation to control irrigation, the pool and garden lighting scenes from your phone, without compromising the safety of the installation.

A common case in Monteclaro

In Monteclaro it's common for pool and garden electrical installations, extended over time for automatic irrigation, outdoor lighting or water heating, never to have been reviewed together since they were first put in. A full review usually finds room for improvement in both safety and consumption.

Heated pool next to the house: two systems competing for power

Cause
On some Monteclaro plots, the pool's heat pump shares a panel or contracted power with the home's climate-control system.
Effect
During the busiest months, both systems running at once can push consumption past the contracted power limit.
Prevention
Assess whether the pool needs its own power capacity and panel, separate from the main house. Spanish thermal-installation regulations (RITE) also require uncovered pools to have their own heat-generation system, independent from the rest of the building, and ban heating their water with non-renewable energy or fossil fuels — a dedicated heat pump for the pool isn't just more efficient, it's the only option that complies.
ANNA's diagnosis
ANNA analyses how power is distributed between the pool and the house as part of the plot's general electrical diagnostic, and checks that the pool's climate-control system complies with the RITE.
