Airzone zoning for flats with many different aspects
In a Chamartín apartment it's not unusual for the living room to face the park, the main bedroom to overlook an interior courtyard, and the study to get afternoon sun. With ducts and Airzone zoning, each room is controlled independently from its own thermostat, with no need to overcool the rest of the house just to keep one room comfortable.
The unit is sited on the roof or in a service courtyard, and the ductwork is hidden in a perimeter false ceiling that respects the original height and cornice. The result is genuine comfort — even temperature, less noise — and lower running costs, because the system only works in the areas actually being used.
