Modern towers and houses beside the park

Air conditioning and electrics for the homes of Campo de las Naciones

Between recently built towers and houses beside Parque Juan Carlos I, we tailor each installation to the exact type of home, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Housing type in Campo de las Naciones

A district of two speeds

Campo de las Naciones brings together two very different realities within the same postcode: recently built apartment towers, with glazed façades and large glass surfaces near the exhibition centre, and pockets of detached and terraced houses beside Parque Juan Carlos I. Despite their more recent construction, the modern towers tend to have high thermal demand because of the amount of glass exposed to the sun, which means comfort depends heavily on how the air conditioning is designed. The area's houses, by contrast, fit the classic profile of a detached home with its own plot and garage. In both cases, the garage — private or shared depending on the building — is a key technical point for any EV charging project.

Climate control

From the glazed tower to the house with a garden

In the towers, we install ducted air conditioning with Airzone zoning to offset the uneven solar gain between differently facing façades, preventing some rooms from overheating while others stay cold. In the area's houses, the approach is the one suited to a detached home: air-source heat pumps and underfloor heating and cooling throughout.

In both cases we aim for the same outcome: a stable temperature per room and electricity consumption noticeably lower than independent units working without coordination, with an installation that respects both the interior design of a modern flat and the façade of a house beside the park.

Electrical

EV charging, with or without a private garage

In houses with a private garage, we install the charging point in accordance with ITC-BT-52 with no constraint beyond the power available at the consumer unit. In towers with a shared garage, the project is different: it requires coordination with the residents' association, calculating the shared power available and, often, choosing a load-management system that distributes power across several spaces without overloading the building's main installation.

We complete either scenario with low-consumption LED lighting and smart-home features that let you programme scenes and schedules — especially useful in flats with large windows, where natural light changes a great deal over the course of the day.

A common case in Campo de las Naciones

In Campo de las Naciones towers with large glazed surfaces, it's common for the living room to overheat during afternoon sun even though the rest of the flat is at a comfortable temperature. With a single, unzoned air-conditioning unit, the only fix is usually to overcool the whole home. We solve this by zoning the installation room by room.

Centralised ducted air conditioning in a new-build building

Cause
In Campo de las Naciones' modern towers and buildings, heating and cooling production is often centralised and shared across several homes, managed by the residents' association or a professional management company.
Effect
A fault or a fault-like glitch that seems to come from the flat itself can actually originate in the central plant, and the owner wastes time if they can't tell the two apart.
Prevention
Know from the moment of purchase which part of the installation is private and which depends on the residents' association, along with who's responsible for maintaining each.
ANNA's diagnosis
ANNA's diagnosis distinguishes which fault belongs to the private installation and which to the centralised plant, and directs the call-out to the right party in each case.
